I was watching an adventure story on dvd recently. It kept me excited all the way through the 50 minute program with a wonderful, positive conclusion at the end. Very satisfying!  How could they do this?  The script was already completed. Even though the events were challenging to the hero and heroine, they came through and were victorious in the end. It all fell into place!

As I was thinking of this exciting and satisfying program. I thought of how the Christian walk is an adventure. Jesus would say;  “You get to adventure with me.” All through this life God has planned his calling and purpose for your life and mine. It is not that we are robots and God makes us move and act in his perfect way. No, but as we trust and follow him, as he guides us through this short life on earth (A few short years, compared to eternity) It is all laid out in the best way; he will lead step by step, to bring a wonderful and satisfying conclusion.

In this life there are very hard places. Jesus said we would have troubles in this world, but to be of good cheer, He had overcome the world.(Jn.16;33) . The apostle Paul said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing.” (2 Tim.4:7-8)

Christ is the perfect shepherd. His ways are perfect and he is faithful to be with us all the way.. Let us choose to adventure with him while we have the opportunity. Our time here will be over so quickly. Let’s go for the best!
