“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph.2:10 NIV)“

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.(Ps.32:8 NIV)

Our adventuring with God does not begin with us, but with God Himself. God works in us to fulfill his purpose that he laid out for us before the foundation of the world.  This is so encouraging and challenging to us. God is going to work in and through us as we trust him.

Each one of us has an unique purpose in this life. It is somewhat like a family that includes many children and they are all different.  So the parents of the home work with each child in a different way to bring forth the best in that child’s life.  Each is unique.  So the promise of Ps.32:8 is given to each of God’s children. I will instruct you, teach you in the best way for your life, and I will counsel and watch over you. He not only instructs, but constantly keeps his eye on us that we move on in his way.  What does this tell us?  We can trust him completely.  We can boldly say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Heb.13:6):

He is  author and finisher of our faith. (Heb.12;3)  His ways are certainly different’ yet perfect for his plan to be fulfilled in and through us. It is an adventure to see him lead and work his will in us.  It is an adventure to trust and cooperate seeing him work in unusual ways.  We get to walk with God!
