“...but those who hope (wait) on the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up on wings as eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and

not faint.” (Is.40:31NIV)

“In repentance and rest is your salvation (help), in quietness and trust is your strength.” “Blessed are all who wait for him.” (Is.30:15.18 NIV)

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.(Ps.37:7)  Wait for the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land.(Ps.37:34)

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.” (Ps.40:1)

The call of adventuring is not us taking things into our own hands and making them work.(It won’t work!). It is to trust this one who loved us enough to died for us. To trust him to guide, and then wait and see him lead and give strength.

He will give us the needed strength to run and walk his way and not gives up. As we wait on him, looking to and trusting him,we will see him work., When we are tempted to turn from his way, taking things into our own hands, we can choose to stand firm in his faithfulness. His ways seem strange, but as we choose to trust him, and choose to continue following him; we will see victory in accomplishing his will, seeing lasting fruit.

I waited patiently for God; he lifted me up, he established my path, he put a praise in my heart, many saw the work of the Lord and put their trust in Christ. (Ps.40:1-3 Barnes paraphrased)  Those who trust in the Lord will not be ashamed!  You will be glad you did!
