“Be strong and very courageous.  Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you...that you may be successful wherever you go...meditate on that you may be careful to do everything in it.  Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Josh.1:7-8 NIV) The second important truth for Joshua and us!

As we read the New Testament, we understand that in Christ we have been set free from the outward rules and regulations of the Mosaic law.  However, there is real truth here!  In choosing to walk in God’s plan for our lives; it is important to make ourselves available to God in a practical way. I have found spending time with God in reading the Bible, with prayer and thanksgiving, helps me to stay in God’s will with a proper attitude.  Frequent, intentional times with God (early morning seems the best), keeps us on the right track.

Humility is so important and pleasing to God. He teaches the humble his way. (Ps.25:9)  My personal experience, quiet time with God, has brought correction, challenge, encouragement and guidance.  God is so faithful to help us in so many ways as we consistently spend time in his presence.  There is no substitute!

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” (Ps.119:105 NIV)  Naaman, an army general, came to the Prophet Elisha in Israel to be healed of leprosy.  He supposed Elisha would come out of his house, call on God, wave his hand over the leprosy and cure him.  He was so angry when Elisha sent his servant to Naaman telling him to dip himself seven times in the Jordan river. Finally, he obeyed the word that was given him and was healed!  Don’t miss a simple dedicated walk with God. Results will be worthwhile!
