“...a faithful man who can find? (Prov. 20:6 NIV)

“God, who has called you into fellowship with his son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.”  As Christians,  You and I have been called into a relationship with Christ, who is faithful to help and keep us strong right on through the end of our life.  We are able to get a “well done” in the final judgment.

The challenge from God, in a world that surrounds us with temptations to go our own way, is to choose to set our hearts to follow Christ and put fellowship as a priority in our lives. We have to choose to “keep our hearts with all diligence for out of it issues our lives.” (Prov. 4:23 KJV) You may stumble, but “get up”, and keep going!

Be definite about a daily quiet time with the Lord.  Perhaps in the early morning or in the evening. A time when you can spend in the reading of the Bible and talking to the Lord. If you draw near to God, he will draw near to you  He will provide guidance for your life, and encouragement with strength to obey him. Looking back, I realize that one of most important decisions I made was to respond to God’s challenge to “make myself available.”  Spending time each morning with Christ opened up guidance and help I would have missed otherwise.

Be faithful to this relationship. Give it priority! You will get to know the Lord better. He will open your eyes to his ways. You will see more clearly what Christ accomplished at the Cross for you. This fellowship will set the stage for God’s purposes to be brought forth in your life. You get to walk with God, get to know him better and fulfill his plans for you. Go for it!
