The Apostle Paul tells us that we should have the attitude of Jesus. “And being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place.”(Phil.2:8-9)  “...I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.” (Jn.5:30 NIV) Even as he neared the time to be crucified, Jesus said, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done” (Lu.22:42 NIV)  Again, taken from Ps.40:6-8, the writer of Hebrews shows us the heart of Jesus. “...a body you have prepared for me...Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll(Old Testament)--I have come to do your will, O God” (Heb.10:5-7 NIV)

Jesus gives the invitation to all: “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, I am gentle (meek) and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Mt.11:29-30 NIV)

Jesus had come to do God’s will. He wanted to please his father more than anything.

He said, “I desire to do your will… your law is within my heart.”(Ps.40:8) God will do this very thing in us. Consider the New Covenant, sealed by Jesus’ blood  God has made this promise, “I will put my laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people” (Heb.8:10)  What you can’t do, God,himself will do. He will make you (us) like Jesus, (Ro.8:28-29)  Let’s humble ourselves before God and let him do what he has promised. We cannot lose now or in eternity. Jesus is God’s last word!
