Here is a chorus that has been sung for many years:

I’m singing wonderful; wonderful!  Everyday; in this way. Wonderful, wonderful is He!

For he has rescued me, set me free, lifted me, gloriously. Wonderful, wonderful is He!

For I’ve come out of the valley where the darkness abounds.

And I’m up on the mountain where the glory is found.

This my song, all day long. In the night, through the fight. Wonderful, wonderful is He!

You might say; “that is a fine song when everything is going well. That is not my situation most of the time.”  In all of our lives we experience difficulties.  Ups and downs of life affect everyone. However, the truth of God in Christ does not change with the circumstances of life.

When we come to Christ and trust him as our Savior and Lord, things change in our relationship with God and this world.  “If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old is gone and the new has come.”(2 Co.5:17)  Our sins, though many, are all forgiven. We stand in God’s unmerited favor. (Ro.5:1)  We are given a new life, the very life of God. The Spirit of God lives in us.(Jn.4:14) He will never leave us.(Heb.13:5)  We are his children and as we continue trusting him, he will lead our lives into his plans. It will be a life and work that prepares us for his never ending kingdom.

As True Christians, we can quote, sing or shout the words of the chorus mentioned above.  We can do as Eph.5:19-20 encourages; “Sing and make music in our hearts to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
