Even after Peter had denied knowing Christ three times, Jesus speaks to him plainly;

Follow me!  The Lord was now raised from the dead to die no more. He was calling Peter to move ahead into God’s purpose for his life. Peter responded and the work of building Christ’s church began to move ahead.

It is so easy to look back at failures, missed opportunities, weaknesses of different kinds. Our enemy, Satan, who wants us to fail and miss God’s best for our lives, seems to delight in pointing out the things that would discourage us, and lead us to giving up. If he cannot get us to give up our faith, he will do his best to neutralize our service to Christ’s kingdom.

We are told to run with steadfastness the race that is set before us.(Heb.12:2) Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the one who initiated our faith and who will finish it.  Looking ahead; know that God has a plan for each of us that was given us before the World began. (Eph.2:10)  God has good works already in mind that he wants you and I to accomplish.

Whether we are a teenager, young adult, mature person, even an older individual, Let us keep looking forward to him who has promised to guide us into eternal fruitfulness.

Don’t look back. When we fail in some way, this may happen many times, rise up and confess it to the Lord, he will forgive and lead on. Failure is not real failure unless you give up and quite. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(1 Jn.1:7)  Let’s trust him, and keep going, then we will see fruit and be a testimony for Christ.
