Neither do I condemn thee; precious words divine. From the lips of Jesus, comes the sweetest chimes.  Wonderful words of mercy; sing them o’er and o’er.  Neither do I condemn thee; Go and sin no more! (Song)

These words are based on an encounter in John 8:1-11. A woman, caught in the act of adultery,

was brought to Jesus. The law said she should be stoned. The religious leaders said to Jesus: “what do you say?  Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”  Convicted in their conscience, people began to leave. He was left alone with the woman. All the accusers had left. Only one who could have condemn her, said to her, Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more! Christ did not come to condemn people, but to save them!!

When a Samaritan village rejected Jesus and his message, John and James wanted call down fire from heaven to judge these people. Jesus rebuked them saying “For the Son of man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” (Lu.9:51-56)   Jesus came to make a way for all people to be free from the judgement of their sins, and give them a better place with God for eternity. The Apostle Paul said, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2Co.6:2) This is the time when God’s love and mercy is extended to all. If you have never received this free gift from God, just reach to Christ, who lives today, He will give it freely. “Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Acts 2:21)  If you have received, tell others that they might know, understand God’s love, and receive his free gift of eternal life.
