What is the fruit in a lifestyle of trusting God; a lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise?
“He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.”   “May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.  Then the land will yield its harvest and God our God, will bless us.  God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.” (Ps.50:23, 67:5-7 NIV).

As we walk this way of faith and praise, we honor God, and the way of faith (trust) pleases God.  Without it we cannot please him.(Heb.11:6)  The end result are the good works and fruitfulness that God has ordained for us before the world began. (Eph.2:10)  Faith, demonstrated in an attitude and action of praise and thanksgiving, opens the way for grace, help, blessing to flow in and through us.  Psalm 67 says, fruitfulness and blessing come, and others are touched by the reality of God; many will stand in awe of him.

“But you are holy, Who inhabit the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted you: They trusted, and You delivered them.  They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in you, and were not ashamed.” (Ps.22:3-5 NKJV)  Notice, as God’s people trusted God, the outflow of that was praise, and the final produce of this was deliverance and they were not ashamed.  Whether it is immediate or after a period of time, those who trust God with their lives in the situations he leads them through, they will experience the triumph of deliverance and they will not be ashamed.

God’s “hall of fame” is shared with us in Hebrews 11,  we see those who triumphed in many ways that they trusted God.  Also we see those who would not compromise their faith and who through much suffering, won in the end, and for eternity.  None are ashamed now because they trusted God. God’s manifest presence dwelt among them as they trusted and praised him.  God put these examples in the Bible for us.  We are challenged to walk the same way!
