“Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.” (Ps.32:10 NIV)

It seems the first thing we need to do is to respond with honesty to God’s offer of complete forgiveness for all our sins.  Don’t make excuses or justify your lifestyle; humble yourself and accept God’s free gift through Christ. His love for you and me has made it possible.  We trust him, call on him and he forgives freely. Amen!

The apostle Paul encourages us about God’s continual, faithful love.  Just as we have begun by trusting God, we continue in the same manner. “...From first to last...The righteous live by faith.” (Ro. 1:17)   “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” (Ro.8:35 NIV)  There are all kinds of adversities that we may face in our lives; in this present world.  they challenge our trust in God, but do they separate us from God’s Love in Christ.  No!!    “ all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Ro.8:37 NIV)  In fact, because we have trusted Christ, who is God’s way of salvation, “all things are working together for our good!  All things are not good, but they work for our ultimate good.”  The Lord has a “long range”view for our lives; actually, an eternal view.  One day we shall see it clearly. (Ro.8:28-29, I Co.13:12)

With resounding finality, the apostle declares; “...I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither  angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Ro.8:38-39 NIV)  Therefore, let us trust the one who loves us fully, and keep following him.
