"...God has chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.  He chose the lowly things of the world and the despised things--and the things that are not-- to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.” (1Co.1:27-29NIV)

It seems when weakness is obvious, then opportunity is provided for God’s strength to be seen.
In 1Co.12, the apostle Paul shares the frustration he sensed with the constant harassment from Satan.  He asked God to take it away, but the Lord told him no!  Christ said; “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  So Paul began to see the value of weaknesses. They provided opportunities to see God’s ability revealed. (v9-10)

The Lord Jesus expressed the same truth in Jn.5:19-20. “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he see his Father doing(weakness)...For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does.”(Strength thru trust)  He did not come to earth to make something happen by his ability, but to do God’s will.  He knows God loves him and will guide him.

Just like the Lord Jesus and Paul realized, God wants to lead us and work through us his will.  Our challenge is not to be intimidated by our weaknesses, but trust God with our lives; put ourselves in his hands, to lead and empower us to fulfill his purpose for his lives.
It is unmerited favor from God that is available to all who will trust.  He will not fail!  His grace is really sufficient! .
