“He (Christ) will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.  They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power...” (2Th.1:8-9 NIV)

“What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? (Mt.16:26 NIV)

Many are betting their eternal being and existence on the hope, “The Bible is not true; There is no God; There is no final judgement.”  In Psalm 73, the Psalmist almost slipped and fell, when he saw and envied the prosperity of the wicked.  That is until he “understood their final destiny.” (73:2-3,17)  The Old and New Testament are very clear on the judgement to come, and the final end of both those who reject God’s love and those who embrace it.

God, in his love for mankind, has made a way for us to be reconciled to himself.  Christ died, the righteous one for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God.(1 Pet.3:18)  It is free to all who will turn to God and in humility except his forgiveness and new life through Christ.

The end will come and the time of receiving God’s gift will be over.  We are told in the Bible, “Now is the day of salvation; now is the time to act.(2 Co.6:2)

Is your soul, your eternal existence valuable to you?  God thought it so, by making a way for you to come to him and live forever in the wonderful place prepared.  However, those who reject his offer will be “shut out from the presence of God and his wonders forever!”  What God says will happen. Consider the value of eternity with God!
